Vietnam: Vietnam Issues Final Circular on Animal Feed under the Animal Husbandry Law

Vietnam issued Circular 21/2019/TT-BNNPTNT Guiding a Number of Articles of the Animal Husbandry Law on Animal Feed, which will take effect on January 14, 2020. This Circular has been updated from previous versions and removes ractopamine, trenbolone acetate, and zeranol from the list of banned chemicals. Vietnam will maintain the maximum residue limits (MRLs) for the use of these chemicals in meat and poultry in line with Codex standards.
