BACKGROUND
Food for Progress
The Food for Progress helps developing countries modernize and strengthen their agricultural sectors, using donated U.S. agricultural commodities to support programs that enhance agricultural productivity and trade. More information about the program and the FY 2020 funding opportunity is available at: https://www.fas.usda.gov/programs/food-progress
Please note that FAS has modified the list of Food for Progress priority countries and topics originally posted March 18. After reviewing FY 2020 programming priorities and considering challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, FAS removed Nepal from the list of priority countries and added the Dominican Republic. The priority topic for the Dominican Republic will be Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.
McGovern-Dole Program
The McGovern-Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program helps support education, child development and food security in low-income, food-deficit countries through school feeding and maternal and child nutrition projects. More information about the program and the FY 2020 funding opportunity is available at: https://www.fas.usda.gov/programs/mcgovern-dole-food-education-program
