CORRECTED ANNOUNCEMENT: Private Exporters Report Sales Activity for China and Unknown Destinations
WASHINGTON, May 26, 2020 – The export sales announcement issued this morning by the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS-ESR-044-20) incorrectly reported sales of 264,000 metric tons of soybeans to China. The corrected announcement is as follows:
- Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales of 258,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China. Of the total, 60,000 metric tons is for delivery during the 2019/2020 marketing year and 198,000 metric tons is for delivery during the 2020/2021 marketing year; and
- Export sales of 216,000 metric tons of soybean cake and meal for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2019/2020 marketing year.
The marketing year for soybeans began Sept. 1 and the marketing year for soybean meal began Oct. 1.
