Correction: Private Exporters Report Sales Activity for Mexico
WASHINGTON, June 25, 2021 — The daily export sales announcement issued today, June 25, contained an error. The sale of 122,200 metric tons of soybean meal for delivery to Mexico should have been announced as 112,200 metric tons. The corrected announcement is as follows:
- Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales of 112,200 metric tons of soybean cake and meal for delivery to Mexico. Of the total, 84,150 metric tons is for delivery during the 2021/2022 marketing year and 28,050 metric tons is for delivery during the 2022/2023 marketing year.
The marketing year for soybean meal began Oct. 1.
USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales reports to the public. Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity, made in one day or quantities totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting period, except 20,000 tons for soybean oil, made in one day to one destination or quantities totaling 40,000 tons or more in any reporting period, by 3:00 p.m. Eastern time on the next business day following the sale. Export sales of less than these quantities must be reported to USDA on a weekly basis.
