Private Exporters Report Sales Activity for Mexico and Unknown Destinations

WASHINGTON, Jul. 3, 2017—Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture the following activity:
- Export sales of 114,300 metric tons of corn for delivery to Mexico. Of the total 22,860 metric tons is for delivery during the 2017/2018 marketing year and 91,440 metric tons is for delivery during the 2018/2019 marketing year; and
- Export sales of 120,650 metric tons of soybean cake and meal for delivery to Mexico. Of the total 92,540 metric tons is for delivery during the 2017/2018 marketing year and 28,110 metric tons is for delivery during the 2018/2019 marketing year; and
- Export sales of 140,000 metric tons of wheat for delivery to unknown destinations. Of the total 70,000 metric tons is hard red winter wheat for delivery during the 2017/2018 marketing year and 70,000 metric tons is soft white wheat for delivery during the 2017/2018 marketing year.
The marketing year for wheat began June 1, corn began Sept. 1, and soybean cake and meal began Oct. 1.
USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales reports to the public. Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity, made in one day or quantities totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting period, except 20,000 tons for soybean oil, made in one day to one destination or quantities totaling 40,000 tons or more in any reporting period, by 3:00 p.m. Eastern time on the next business day following the sale. Export sales of less than these quantities must be reported to USDA on a weekly basis.
