Southern Africa - October 2018
U.S. agribusinesses interested in growing their exports to Southern Africa are encouraged to join the U.S. Department of Agriculture on a trade mission to South Africa October 29 - November 2, 2018.
While the mission will be based in Johannesburg and Cape Town, participants will have the opportunity to engage with potential customers from a total of 11 countries in the region: South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Collectively, the United States exported $602 million in agricultural products to those countries in 2017, a 25-percent increase from the previous year.
In addition to personalized business-to-business meetings arranged by local staff from USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, participants will also take part in depth-briefings and site visits to learn first-hand about what it takes to successfully export U.S. farm and food products to Southern Africa.
