BioFach

Biofach, the world's largest organic trade show, is held in Germany, the second-largest organic food market after the United States. Many U.S. exhibitors at Biofach are small companies and Biofach provides a  useful platform for these exporters to expand their businesses and gain market entry. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Biofach 2021 was a virtual-only event with 1,442 exhibitors and 13,800 participants. The virtual trade show welcomed 12 U.S. exhibitors. By comparison, in 2020, the in-person Biofach welcomed nearly 47,000 visitors from 136 countries and 3,792 exhibitors from 110 countries.  The USA Pavilion at this USDA-endorsed show welcomed 25 exhibitors.  Companies in the USA Pavilion displayed and promoted a variety of USDA organic products – everything from nut butters to candy, food ingredients to grains and beans, dairy to poultry.  The 25 U.S. exhibitors included 18 small-to-medium size and 6 new-to-market companies.
