Supermarket Trade Show
Held annually in Tokyo, the Supermarket Trade Show is Japan’s leading international trade show targeting supermarket buyers and food retailers. In 2020, nearly 80,000 visitors and 2,300 exhibitors attended the Supermarket Trade Show. The U.S. Pavilion at this USDA-endorsed show welcomed 16 exhibitors reporting close to $16.4 million in 12-month projected sales of U.S. agricultural products. U.S. exhibitors made over 133 serious business contacts and introduced 112 new products in the market. The most popular U.S. products at the show were processed pork, case ready beef, delicatessen, hot sauce, citrus, IPA beer, teriyaki chicken, corndogs, single-serve cakes, chowder, Pinot Noir, curry sauce, baking ingredients, and dried cherry. The 16 U.S. exhibitors included 6 small-to-medium size and 3 new-to-market companies.
