Held annually in Tokyo, the Supermarket Trade Show is Japan’s leading international trade show targeting supermarket buyers and food retailers. In 2022, despite COVID-19 travel restrictions and restrictions on large in-person gatherings, Supermarket Trade Show attracted 42,885 visitors and the USA Pavilion consisted of 11 exhibitors. By comparison, in 2020, nearly 80,000 visitors and 2,300 exhibitors attended the Supermarket Trade Show.  The USA Pavilion at this USDA-endorsed show welcomed 16 exhibitors.  The most popular U.S. products at the show were processed pork, case ready beef, delicatessen, hot sauce, citrus, IPA beer, teriyaki chicken, corndogs, single-serve cakes, chowder, Pinot Noir, curry sauce, baking ingredients, and dried cherry.  The 16 U.S. exhibitors included 6 small-to-medium size and 3 new-to-market companies.
