Kick off the new year with Kenya’s Market Insiders virtual trade event hosted by USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service for U.S. exporters of savory and sweet snack foods, beverages, distilled spirits, wine, dried fruit, tree nuts, and dairy products. The virtual event will take place April 26-27, 2022, offering exporters an opportunity to meet with Kenyan distributors and importers who are seeking consumer-oriented food and beverage products.

With Kenya’s fast-growing population and middle class, increased urbanization, and an expanding modern food retail service, the U.S. can potentially create a market in Kenya, especially for on-the-go snacking. Kenya serves as the gateway to East Africa and is well positioned to expand imports of convenience foods and distilled spirits.

This virtual trade event also supports the U.S. Government’s Prosper Africa initiative, which seeks to strengthen the United States’ commercial ties and foster fair and reciprocal trade with countries in Africa.
