Commodity Fact Sheets - U.S. Ag Trade Policy Advances
Exports are a critical driver of economic progress across the United States and have direct benefits for U.S. agriculture. About 20 percent of all U.S. agricultural production is exported around the world, providing a significant share of producers’ cash receipts. Ensuring that exports move and reach foreign markets, requires trade policy advances in the global export arena.
Since USDA first established a stand-alone mission area focusing on trade and international affairs in 2017, USDA’s Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs and the Foreign Agricultural Service, have made significant trade policy advances to support U.S. agriculture. This series of commodity fact sheets highlights the many recent trade policy advances achieved by USDA.
