India: Government of India Allows Imports of Apples from all Ports

On March 27, 2018, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Directorate General for Foreign Trade (DGFT) published a notification removing port restrictions for imports of fresh apples (falling under HS Code 08081000 of chapter 8). The March 27 notification will supersede the previous restriction allowing imports of apples to a few limited ports in India.
