FAS/Astana estimates wheat production in Kazakhstan in MY 2017/2018 at 13.5 MMT, down nearly 10 percent from Post’s estimate of 14.99 MMT for 2016/17, due largely to a decline in planted area.
Based on the latest official estimate, Pakistan’s 2017 wheat production was 25.7 million metric tons, the second largest harvest on record.
